International Relations
The exploitation of children for whatever reason is a truly global issue. It is also a problem that cannot and should not be tackled by police in isolation.
That is why the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre as the UK’s focus for protecting children is active in a number of countries building up an international child protection network of alliances and partnerships to deliver a holistic approach that spans geographic borders.
This includes representing the UK on the Virtual Global Taskforce – an international alliance of law enforcement agencies from across Europe, America, Australia and Canada.
It also includes a number of specialist advisory panels, each one led by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre and each bringing together the best from policing, charities, government and industry in countries that are increasingly hostile to offender behaviour.
